About Me

Hi. I grew up in Yakima, WA as the oldest of 7 children. Piano playing has always come quite comfortably to me and I enjoy playing. I graduated from BYU with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. I've taught off and on for 20 years and have more time now that my kids are all in school.

Teaching Style

I'd like my students to enjoy learning to play the piano. It's so easy to get burned out and not want to practice. I strive to have students play songs that they enjoy while also learning all of the fundamentals, technique and basic music theory.

Tuition

Tuition for piano lessons is 52$ a month for a 30 minute lesson each week.  (13$ per lesson) 
This is due at the beginning of the month- Venmo is a great way to pay, or cash or check. 

I am familiar with most piano books and am happy to use ones you may already have, or can recommend some easily purchased on Amazon.

What to expect from me

Each week I will be professional and prepared for your lesson. You can expect positive feedback and help and encouragement on how your assigned songs are going and any questions you have.

What I expect from you

In order for you to learn and improve I will need you to come on time to lessons, to be attentive and cooperative during lessons, and to practice at home at least 5 days a week for an agreed upon time. If these expectations are met, you will be amazed at how much progress you will make as a piano student!

If a student needs to miss a lesson, text or call me ASAP and I can find a makeup time.
